I can help you with certain parts of the process if you desire, (design, domain registration, hosting and search engine registration), or I am available take care of all of it for you. You don't have to know anything about the Internet for me to be able to create your site.

CUSTOM WEB DESIGN  $65/hr 
Rates vary depending on the complexity of the project and the amount of custom graphics you require.  This is only a guideline, as I prefer to bid on the cost of the entire project, rather by the hour.

I am currently not doing work on sites that involve database driven pages, shopping carts, asp, java, psp, or flash. 

How Does the Design Process Work? 
I take your text and images such as photographs, logos, current sales brochures or other advertising, and turn it into a web site.  You tell me what sort of effect you're after and I will work up a design and make it available for you to examine.  It will take about two to three weeks to complete your site, depending on how complex it is and how quickly you get your material to me. 

I will make adjustments to the design as desired. Once full payment is received for design services, I will upload it to the server of your choice and test it on multiple platforms to make sure that it lays out correctly on various screen settings and web browsers. 

You will then have a full 30 days in which to make additional minor changes and revisions to get your site just the way you want it.  I am available by phone, and email to handle the design process. (email is the best way to reach me with minor requests).  After the 30 days, changes and edits are billed at $65 per hour with a $65 minimum.

HOSTING YOUR WEB SITE

Design fees do not include hosting fees.  In order for your web site to be made available to the world, you will have to rent space on a server and pay the hosting company directly. I can take care of this for you, and I am now offering basic webhosting for $15 a month, payable one year at one time ($150 for the first year, $180 thereafter).   I will send an annual invoice to renew.  This will include my services handling any problems that come up with the webhosting and email. 

If you prefer to arrange your own hosting account with a different hosting company, I can set up your website at that company. If you set up your account with a hosting company, please take note of your username and password since I will need that information to set up your website with them!  If you need me to take care of problems with webhosting and email they will be billed at my hourly rate to take care of this at your web host. 

Domain registration fees will also apply.(see below). 

DOMAIN REGISTRATION

A domain name is the address where people can find you on the web, such as www.YourName.com.  Bayou Designs will assist you with registering your new domain name if needed or set it up and do it for you. Fees for domain registration vary and must be paid directly to the domain registration company. 

I highly recommend: 000domains.com --  There are also many other places online where you can register a domain name. 

If you need help deciding on what domain name to use, Who Is.sc is a good place to check and see if names you are considering are available.   If you register your domain name, please write down your "user name" and your password, in addition to the domain name, since I will need that information to set up your website!

I can also help you register your domain name and take care of it for you. I will need your credit card information to do this for you.

You will be able to view your website in progress online during the design process at a temporary internet address.  A down payment of at least $200 is required in order for the work to begin. Once the site is complete, full payment is expected before your site will be uploaded to your server at it's permanent address.

I accept credit card payments only online through PayPal, or personal checks made out to Bayou Designs, Inc.
